Removing side markers

Looking for tips? Anyone remove. Going to wrap and rather do off car

I just did this on Friday. It was very simple to get the vents out. I just used a credit card and started at the "spike" closest to the doors and pulled that out just a touch, and then moved the card to the upper rear section of the vent (the black plastic) and got the card under that corner then rotated the assembly down and popped it out. Then just unclip the light connection! You can then separate the blinker/black plastic section from the chrome section with about 7 or 8 (can't remember) black clips on the back. It turned out great and I'm super happy I got rid of the chrome!

^^ exactly what I did with mine, a complete de-chrome.

@Ptoscano911 in case you meant the other side markers on the USA front bumpers there is another how to thread on this:

I admire you guys who have the patience to wrap... I know my strengths and that is not one of them... so... I dropped 100 had them do the the chrome around windows, handles and reflectors... took 25 off because I made him a video for FB... only reason why I like social media! Potential business market

I know this is an old thread, but I'm looking to wrap the side markers myself. I cannot find a video of someone wrapping the chrome side marker on the fender for an LCI 6 series. All the videos I find show them after they are wrapped. Does anyone have a step by step on removing the chrome side marker from an LCI f06? Or can these be properly wrapped while still on the car? Since you need to use a heat gun to shrink the wrap when first applied, i don't want to run the risk of damaging the paint around the side marker.
