The only crash sensors in the "front bumper" are for the pedestrian protection system. If that is what the warning is for...see the info below. The intelligent safety system uses the KAFAS camera(s) and sensors in the rear bumper. Again, I'm not sure if the info below is what you're experiencing...but its a start.

Hi QSilver7,

Thank you very much! Yes I have found these but the fault code is from a different one. Should be somewhere on the front chassis part according to ETK but dont know the exact location..It should be the sensor with partnumber: Sensor, front
Part number: 65779224176

I have found these in ETk an dthe sensors you have shown in the same category: 65 but it doesnt show the exact location.

Any further suggestions please ?

Thanks for the additional information. The part number you gave is associated with the airbag system…which is a big help.

I was originally looking for info that was associated with the intelligent safety systems that were associated with external obstacles…but again, the part number you gave is associated with the airbag system which is working with interior safety in deploying airbags if involved in a crash.

The part number you gave are acceleration/deceleration sensors located on the left & right side of the…they appear to be located near the horns (H2 & H3)… which are located a bit further back…and not directly mounted on/in the bumper.

See #4 in illustration from part database: https://bimmercat.com/bmw/en/search/...0i/USA/65_2262

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

The airbag front sensor detects both acceleration and deceleration (deceleration indicates a front-end collision; acceleration indicates a rear-end collision). The impact side is detected by the polarity of the sensor signals.

Item Explanation
1 two‐pin plug connection
2 Airbag front sensor, right (B45) or left (B51)
Right sensor location B45

Left sensor location B51

Hi Guys,

A follow up on this topic. Yes I found them, replaced a connector and how to check the pin diagram and the cable colour ? I was able to put the connector both sides in. Seems it was repaired before me.

Thanks a lot
