Just coded easy access seats and full steering
As you know, when you turn of the ignition, the steering wheel rises out the way. I've coded it today so that it retracts backwards and then upwards, so basically puts it back to its fully up and back position. Also coded easy access seats so they move back when you open the door and reset when you turn on the ignition. Small tweaks but makes a nice difference. Shame these things aren't on as standard!
Anyone who wants to do it themselves, I can point them to the right place for the codes. |

I've been looking into coding my car so if you could send me a PM or just add a post into this thread it would be greatly appreciated! Completely agree that these two things should be standard. Thanks for pointing it out that you can actually code this.

The details are in this thread
http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=825923 If you read further down it also tells you how to adjust the distance it moves and the minimum safety distance that the seat will move so as not to crash rear passengers legs! You might need to adjust this too if you have your seat further back than 100mm from the end of the rail |

325, what do you use for coding and how easy is it. I would like to get start stop to remember the setting it was turned off with.
Also, is it possible to code the speed limit display to work, I don't have the option, but I do have adaptive lights etc. Thanks Andrew |

Thanks worked well in my 640d, was wondering why it didn’t come standard.
Steering wheel rolls back when ignition switched off. Seat goes back when door is opened |
