640d or 640i Gran Coupe rear badge dimensions

Can anyone with a 640i gran coupe please be kind enough to provide the exact dimensions of the rear 640i badge placement please?

Since the 640d is more common, dimensions for these may also work.

Or tell me where I can get these from.
My local BMW dealer has not been very helpful.

i.e. exact measurement from 6 to the headlight or boot edge, height from boot edge etc

Is there a reason 650i measurements would not work? I doubt the 4 and 5 are different sizes, or at least not more than a mm or two.

Sure! Still have my calipers out from brake work.

32 mm bottom of 6 to crease above boot edge
74 mm vertical, from bottom of 6 to boot edge
134 mm horizontal, right edge of boot release ring to bottom left edge of 6
6-6.5 mm between 6 and 4, 4 and 0
20 mm 0 to i
28 mm horizontal top R of i to crease of brakelight area

about 33 mm horizontal from top R of i to red brake light plastic

640i GC

Yeah I suppose 650i would work too. Do you have this?

Has to be off a Gran Coupe though.

Pictures would really also help if its not too much bother for you, otherwise I will try mock up a diagram with the numbers given.

Also spoke to the parts department of my BMW dealer and can't believe they don't have this info or template on their system, useless.

This is the max I can get with my calipers – no reach from 6 to brake light.
You can do the math by adding up the width of each of your badge digits + spacing.

Please satisfy our curiosity as to why the car is debadged. Yeah, I wouldn’t expect a dealer to have a diagram on this. Experienced body shops can eyeball it.

I guess it wouldn't hurt if I am off a mm or 2, but definitely need to make sure its all levelled and not wonky.

Might be better to cut out a paper template using these figures and use that.

I suggest laying out your lines with painter’s tape.

I agree with this. You really just need a level bottom line and one side. If you have too much tape you increase the risk of trapping tape under the emblem adhesive. OP, if you don't know, these badges come pre-assembled in that they are properly spaced already and sandwiched between two pieces of plastic. You pull off just the bottom plastic to expose the adhesive, stick it on and then peel off the top plastic.

Yes I gathered they were spaced correctly and confirmed with the measurements provided here. But thanks for the tip, seems the easiest way to just peel off the bottom to expose adhesive and stick on along tape edge.
