Racechip tuning?
Hey guys any experience with a racechip tuning ,plug&play piggyback chip that supposed to give you 80 hp?At least 800$ version, anyone?

Racechip tuning?
Hi guys , according to race chip tuning you get 80+ hp and is cheap and easy plug and play , why ppl opt for custom ECU remap that gives you 60 + hp on 650i ? Confused ? Any experts ?

I had the JB4 on my 550i and the Racechip on the 650i. I would say they are about the same. I recently switched to BPM Stage 2 tune. Why? It's safer and provides better/linear power and also changes the power/torque figures in Idrive.
Judging from my butt dyno, I didn't believe the figures that JB4/Racechip were advertising as the power difference wasn't that huge from stock. The stage 2 software with downpipes definitely gives the car a much better power increase. I also had a tune on my A3 and from experience would always pick a tune over a piggyback. You usually get what you pay for. |

I've read it's junk. All piggy backs play and trick the ecu via resistance, this can lead to issues down the road. Go for a tune, ie get the ecu/dme fully written and customized. Bm3 is amazing.
