The e63 is a great car, but it shows its age in the interior and exterior. Nice engine but too much "muscle car" rumble for me. Terrible slow gearbox ruins it.

I think the colour and interior would work to be honest !

I was actually specifying San Marino Blue with the 2 tone Opal White/Amaro Brown with Amaro Brown individual headlining too.

Dealer said that would be end of Feb delivery so I pulled out....possibly a good thing too

San Marino / Aragon are regular options so no problems with delays.

The car has arrived today in Edinburgh, should have the reg details soon.

Only 8 weeks since the order, that's a faster delivery than a standard 3 series at the moment.

That's great news mate !! Yeah they seem to be flying off the production lines and sailing into the UK pretty quickly.

As of today I am at Status Code 9610 at Port of Exit.

I don't suppose you have a date of when you were at this stage at all ?

My car has a build date of 12th November.

I was really desperate for a car a few weeks ago and I was working on a deal with them for a new unregistered, Frozen Bronze M5 with Competition Package that they could get me in a week. However some of the options I really wanted weren't on it and also I was a bit scared about the paint and possibly how to care for it.

I'll drive up and down Park Lane on the 24th and try and catch a glimpse of your car.

I walked in last thursday, they had a M6 in singapore grey with silverstone interiors (unregistered, sitting in port)with near enough the spec i wanted, eagerly counting down till Tuesday!

By the way where are you checking the status of your car??

Actually I went to school with the great grandson of BMW.

So we keep in touch via Whatsapp.





















OK basically I call BMW UK every day. Get the update to the status code then as a kind gesture, in turn, I update my dealer to keep him informed too

After I ordered they said delivery w/c 16th Nov, and it arrived at the dealers yesterday. Right on schedule.

Got the car washed. Pretty snazzy place that only use the two bucket method, microfibres etc. The place was set up by a top detailer :



























I got the run in service done at 1340 Miles and now have just gone past 1500 Miles.

Really enjoying it. Its big but sort of shrinks around you when you are pushing on !

Looks great! I've hit the 2k mark this week. Micro managed my run in service at 1194! I've been meaning to get it out to liquid in Knightsbridge but just haven't had the time.

Any mods planned as yet for yours? It's not easy getting stuff here, I've had to pay a load in duty and vat from the states already...
