6GC X-drive wheels setup
Hello!
I am waiting for production of my 640 xd GC M-sport (placed an order already) and have a tough decision to make. Originally the m-sport version could be equipped with the following wheels: FRONT: 8,5 x20 ET33 - TIRES 245/35/20 REAR: 9X20 ET44 - TIRES 275/30/20 so it comes with staggered setup from factory. I really like the look of the M5/M6 wheels and I would be happy to order mine with standard M-sport package 19" (to keep it for winter tires) and order the 20" M6 wheels for summer additionally. My question is: Would that be fine to mess with the ET on xdrive ? The RWD M5 wheels which i plan to order have : FRONT: 9x20 ET32 - TIRES 265/35/20 REAR: 10x20 ET34 - TIRES 295/30/20 What do you think about such a wheels on xdrive version? Would that cause any harm to the xdrive? As far as I understand - the ET should have no influence on the rotation speed of the wheel? Would you recommend chossing different ET wheels (compared to factory's version) if i make sure that the rotation speeds are ok? Would this ET difference have any influence on xdrive? I'll be gratefull for your opinions. Regards Lukasz |

Check this out:
http://www.6post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=968941 This guys has a 640i GC and installed the 433M whiles which are 0.5" wider than 343M you are talking about. He claims that sometimes rear tires rub-off with the car underneath plastic stuff. Since 343M are narrower, you may be fine, but it's better to check with your dealer first. For sure they know better than us

Does 11" fit the rear? If so, match the wheel/tire specs from a Porsche Panamera Turbo S for the 20s. This is important b/c the rotational distance need to be the same for the front and rear on xDrive. The Panamera Turbo S has AWD (with 20s) so that should help get close to the correct setup. On setup, I would go with Forgestar or other custom wheels to ensure flush fitment and offset. I don't like messing with spacers.
I don't think you can use the RWD setup from the M5. |

A less aggressive setup is 20x9 front / 20x10.5 rear - Tire size 245 35 20 front / 285 30 20 rear. (this closer to what is needed for xDrive - front / rear is almost 0% error) http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php...et2=20#content |

I have 433 wheel ian fitting to my 640d but with 9.5j front and rear. Front has 255 tyres rear 285 tyres. Does anyone know if you need spacers on the front so the 9.5j wheels don't rub? If so 10 or 15mm. Anyone know if Aram who out the 433 wheels on his GC 640i used spacers on the front. Thanks guys
