Thumbs up Chris Harris Reviews M6 GC (vs E63 S AMG and Jaguar XFR-S)

Great review by Chris. Really shows where the M6 shines; outstanding engine, beautiful interior (and exterior imho), and SPEED (especially over 100).

Give it a look, gotta love Chris and an M6.

Don't know what "secret" sauce BMW put into this guy, but the M6 GC has really been killing it on reviews. To me, that 911/GTR/M6GC comparo especially highlighted the capabilities of this engine.

I want all three.

The comment about the E63 having the best steering both on road and track was not at all surprising to me.

BMW's DCT keeps getting better and better. Good stuff.

The reason M6 rules all these cars In straight line is transmission. Chris always speaks the truth though.
M6 GC is king!

That M6 for sure even if it lost the drag. Just LOOK at it! The MERC looks like for CEOs that can't drive.

I came from a 2011 E63 and I can tell you the gearbox really is the worst part of the car. Often times it will not upshift or downshift and when it does it just seeems to respond sluggishly. I had the 6.3 engine so I cant really speak to the turbo engine on the current E63. I will say the M6GC engine is in a different league power wise to the 6.3 N/A engine. It revs just as freely but seems to put down much more than than the 50 or so rated horsepower difference.

Nice vid, like his reviews. Expected amg to win the drag but nice to see GC hold it's ground.

Massively under rating their FI power figures. That thing is putting out prob 600 easy (esp in the cold). But dct definitely helps too

I should let you know that the N/A V8 in your E63 was a 6.2L despite the badging, and the F/I mills in the M6 and E63 feel like they rev more freely most likely due to the massive difference in torque - both peak figures and across the band.

yes I am aware it actually is a 6.2 AMG uses the 6.3 badge as a throwback to their sedans of the past.

Wonder if the result would be any different with the 4 wheel drive version of the amg. I have one and love it . And yes , the gearbox is the downside of the car and the 7 inch navi display haha

As far as I know, automakers in Europe have to round up because some countries tax cars based on engine size. The AMG M156 motor displaces 6,208cc so they have to round up to 6.3.
