Smokers Package (441) Delete in M6?
My dealer sent me a print out of my order list and it shows option "441" - Smokers Package. In doing some research, it appears that, at least on some models, this standard option can be deleted in favor of an empty bin.
My dealer tells me you can't delete the Smokers Package in the M6. Anyone know if this is true. (Pardon my skepticism...) |

The question is: Is there a Smoker's Delete option for the M6 or not? I can't very well ask them to install the bin if one doesn't exist...
Do you know if there is a Smoker's Delete option for the M6? |

You can delete it beforehand. I just sat in one that had it deleted.

Both the Dealer and BMW Customer Service have told me (independently) that that Deleting the Smoker's package was not an option. So your info is pretty interesting. What did you see in place of the Smokers Package? Is this car in a dealership somewhere?
Thanks! |

Interesting. Sounds like BS to me. Now if this dealer deleted the smokers package themselves. It had a tray in there.
This was in a vert at BMW Seattle. In the showroom.

I found the car on the BMW of Seattle web site: http://www.bmwseattle.com/new/BMW/20...9a9f19d40a.htm
I called and spoke to a sales guy. The M6 which on the floor does not have any Smoker's delete package. It just has a plastic plug in the socket instead of the lighter element. |

For those models that DO have a Smokers Delete Package, the ashtray and lighter socket are replaced with a larger empty bin and and accessory outlet is installed near the passengers left knee in lieu of the lighter socket.
Just replacing the lighter element with a plastic plug is not the same as a Smokers Delete Option... |
