Yes, it was a factory option, but it wasn't cheap.

First time I saw Frozen Grey or something very like it, there were two cars of very similar color, a Bentley and a 6 parked outside the Bentley dealership in St Petersburg, Russia.
While I thought both cars were beautiful I didn't know if I was looking at primer or the final paint job.
Still not sure.
Guess I don't love it.
Glad you do.
Absolutely no primer look. It's a metallic paint, just the top layer is matt instead of shiny. I agree it's a personal choice, but I get a lot of postive comments about my car.

But I guess enjoying the car for that extra year is better than that...

Plus -- I can just get a vinyl wrap or plastidip done right? lol
I also own a Jeep wrangler which is matt grey wrapped (metallic), but the difference is enormous. The paint shines much more and is beautiful in the sun. Also the angles and curves of the car are more beautiful with it's shadow lines. I agree the Jeep is a brick, so not much curves there, but it's definitely different.

Still looks good though

Nice! Thanks for the info. Good to know.

I decided to go with the 50i instead of the M Version of my next car at the end of the year, so with the money I budgeted for the M I will be saving, I see opting for this exterior color would be worth it!

Mine was pearl white, and i wanted the frozen grey look. So i went for wrap. Also the chrome trim from the windows , and any other chrome was wraped in glossy black. The grilles are OEM M-Performance, and can be ordered without the M badge. You just dont fit it.

voor het bezitten van deze prachtige auto.
Ik denk dat het een geweldige kleur en uniek.
Ik kon nooit veroorloven deze auto toen ik woonde in België.

I think the color is awesome and it is a masterpiece...

Bedankt voor het compliment, de auto is ook met zorg samengesteld.

Is het in Canada makkelijker om zo'n auto te veroorloven dan?

Thanks for the compliment, it took a while and looking at a lot of pictures before I decided to order this color.
