New F06 640d
Hi guys.
Its been a while since i have been on here, I usually used to frequent the F30 side of things but am about to take delivery of a freshly built 640d GC. Just wanted to know from those in the know if there are any common issues to look out for and if any of you would recommend a particular (uk based) remap? Thanks in advance |

I made the same upgrade 2 months ago from a 328i and totally love the diesel.
Congratulations you will love it. Takes a little getting used to after the F30 purely because of its size and weight but once familiar with it it is so much better. Last edited by macca1410; 10-13-2016 at 09:16 PM.. |

Congrats on the new car, the only issue i am aware of which shouldn't effect your car as it was mostly on earlier cars was the seats rattled in the rails and could come loose but upgraded parts solved this.

I found non run flats on the F30 last longer, make less noise and the ride is alot smoother. Any of you guys re-mapped your 640's? |

What i cannoy understand is the larger rears with less profile seem to cause people less issues. This presumes that you fit rft's obviously, for me the roads i drive on then rft whilst more of a compromise is useful as most roads i do day to day are single carriageway A roads and the odd bit of the m20... |

Yeah I had my 640d remapped back in February by JF Automotive, I didn't want it too extreme as I didn't want too much pressure put on the gear box.
Mine is running 360-380bhp with 750nm torque. It certainly is much better and a great bit of kit. I would recommend where I had mine done or BW Chiptune for your remap. And get the m6 active sound coded on also
