exhaust

I am looking to buy either the akrapovic exhaust but I am highly considering the Dinan Free Flow Stainless Exhaust for BMW F13 M6. The Dinan is a small piece bolt on for the tail end of the exhaust for 3.6k but the akrapovic runs the length of the car and is much lighter for 8k. Having trouble deciding, any input will be helpful.
Also, does the Dinan sound as good as the Akra??

I did the Akra .... LOVE IT!!!!

AMAZING SOUND ... and excellent fit like OEM!

I didn't do the BMW M-Perf parts Bin Akra with ///M tips, I did the Akra one with the CF tips

It is intoxicating

I got the MPE(made by Akra)
Pretty sure Akra make the carbon sleeve for the tips as well, wish I should of got the Akra slash cut tips on it instead of these straight cut ones .Quality is still excellent as well as the sound.

You guys seriously spending $7k on this? This is insane... what makes it so different from the other exhaust systems out there? Does it sound that much better?

Are exhaust notes the same (MPE by Akra vs Akra-non MPE)?

From what I have read, they are exactly the same and only the tips are different. As said , the exhaust note is intoxicating. You will get 60-70 percent of your money back on resale as well

They are Identical ... only the tips are different btn the Akra full titanium and the Akra BMW M-Perf part Full titanium

Either is great ... in another thread one complained that the BMW M-Perf tips rusted and they were not happy ... the akra tips have been perfect and I have placed 7000 km on them now

I seriously considered picking up an Akra but I personally felt the sound produced did not warrant $7-8k. I ended up going with the Meisterschaft GTC-V with gloss black 102mm tips and couldn't be happier. The sound is just MEAN and if you need to be somewhat civilized, you have the option of closing the valves. I am also running catless downpipes which make the exhaust louder but also adds all the pops and burbles one could ask for.

Exhaust note is very subjective and is ultimately up to the driver/user. Just my 2 cents... hope it was helpful

I agree ... but I have delicate ears ... so the Akra with Supper Sprint Catless was good for me ... my last M6 Cab with Eisenmann Race was TOO LOAD ... sport was key ... thus why the Akara ... but to each their own as sound is such a personal thing ... and the stock exhaust note is LACKING!!!

Merry x-mas Bro!

did the MPE come with CP cars? Or you had to buy it separately?

CP in UK comes with a "sports exhaust" with black tips, it's a little more aggressive than the non CP.
You have to buy the MPE separately

Don't forget to check out Eisenmann. Beautiful welds and super high quality exhaust! The sound is glorious and the fitment is OEM-like.

save your money on BMW M exhaust and splash it on Eisenmann best exhaust out there for value. Akra is good but overpriced and wouldn't touch Dinan products with a barge pole.

Agree 100%

Dinan is great for suspension, though
