All the ones I have seen have the BMW roundel front and rear and the Alpina badge in the center of the steering wheel.

That also seems to be consistent with the most recent ordering guide I am aware of (eff. 7/14). I see no option to delete the BMW badges and add the Alpina badges. Would be fun, though.

Oh ok, maybe I saw it on older models or it might have been a custom subtle mod. Definitely would be cool! Thanks for the info...

If I get another gran coupe it will be an alpina. I just hope it doesn't take as long for the alpina to come out on the new lci.

Me too. Spy shots have been out since at least last September for the '16 LCI B6's, so I'm hoping they will be out beginning with the 3/15 SOP of the other 6-series models as implied in the article. My wife and I are second on the list at a large SoCal dealer for a '16 B6 (meaning we'll have his 'n' her 6-ers), so I'll chime in as I learn more.

Alpina has a cool factor....as it is rare...but they absolutely don't look as good as the M models (with exception of maybe the 7 series as it really has no M model). Looks kind of ricey with the lettering on the front bumper and the trunk lip spoiler. I like the quad exhaust tips but the M cars already have that.

I agree. That is one thing I hope delete when we place our order for a '16. Fortunately, it does not stick out as much on the alpina blue one that we saw (and will order) as opposed to the white colors.

Alpinas always wear the original roundels front and back. Their emblem tends to go on the parts they develop. Owners may swap them, but mostly they seem to the reserve of eBay sourced 'replica' Alpinas around these parts.

If I can find the article that explains it online I'll post a link.

Holy smoke! I test drove a B6 today. My M6 was a handful (and with the awful SMG). My M4 is a little rock concert, and can also be a handful. But the B6 just has enormous power, delivered without any fuss. It's more like my i8, but much more competent at higher speeds. I entered the freeway and hit 88 MPH before the end of the on ramp.

I had been thinking about a Bentley Arnage or maybe an S65 Mercedes, but at this point the B6 or the B7 is a definite candidate if I win the lottery. (I found $20 while on my morning hike today and parlayed it with 15 lottery tickets.)
