Updated OEM Flash Tune from Dealership
Hello fellow forum members I just wanted to share some knowledge and maybe get some feedback.
I brought my car into the dealer for warranty. Specifcally an issue I was having w the AC. The AC was not cooling the interior-cab just blowing"room" temp air. They fixed the problem BUT I noticed that my car felt very different and I am certain they flashed my car with an updated tune from BMW/ NA. I have cat'less downpipes. The downpipes boost-creep. On the freeway in 6th at WOT you can see the boost rise sporadically to 18.5PSI.. Now with the updated file I does not boost-creep past 11.0PSI. Also my CEL hasnt come on since I reset it before I turned the car in (I will update once it comes on) but it usually comes on with a few miles on the car. The dealership was a 15 miles drive.. This new file feels a lot like a 2015 X6M I drove. The valves in the exhaust don't rebound, rather slap closed. Of course the Sport+ throttle mode always slapped shut but the Sport and Efficient modes with cat'less downpipes did* rebound. Anyways I wondered if anyone had more knowledge on what this file exactly does and why it does it. Is this a tune that decreased or increase power input etc.
