Floor mats that fit 6 series

Does anyone know if 3 series or 5 series floor mats will fit a 6 series? I've been looking to get some new floor mats but there isn't much of a selection for the 6 series. Most of the mats I like are made for the 3 :

I have been looking at these Weather tech mats for the silverstone interior. I am considering the floor liners for added protection.

The weathertech floor liners are great - very durable but not especially rugged looking, perfect amount of feet grip. I just picked up a set for my new (to me) 6er and am very happy with them. Rear and front passenger fitment are perfect, the driver's seat liner felt like there was a tiny air pocket directly under the accelerator pedal area when installing but I can't feel it at all while driving.

Multiple family members have these liners for different cars and it seems they might warp after 2-3 years...mainly in those parked outside the majority of the time. I'm planning to clean mine with 303 aerospace protectant every 2 months for some added uv protection so they dont distort so soon.

Thanks! I was looking at the M performance mats - the ones with the ‘swoopy’ Lines that are made of a combination of rubber and cloth. They are not specifically listed as a fit for the F06, but rather the f12/f13. I read that these will also fit the F06, but have been told conflicting things. Any thoughts on this?

I have an F13, so I can't speak for the F06.

The difference between the f06 vs the f12/f13 when it comes to floor mats...is the REAR mats. The front mats are the same across all 3 models...it's the rear floor mats that are smaller on the 2dr vert & coupe. The 4dr f06 grand coupe's rear floor mats are slightly larger.

If you buy f12/f13 rear floor mats for your f06...they will lay on the floor but more carpet will be exposed and you will see that something isn't quite right...but they will lay flat.

The f06 rear mats have the circular Velcro patch that aligns with the matching velcro floor anchor that helps them to stay in place. If memory serves me correct (its a bit foggy)...I'm not sure the f12/f13 rear mats are set-up for the Velcro floor anchors because of their smaller size.

I say the above because when I purchased my f06...the PO had installed the BMW rubber mats...but the rears were the ones for the 2dr coupe & vert. This bugged me from the start...so I purchased a new set of rears for the 4dr coupe...so yes, I can verify that the 4dr f06 rear mats are larger.

For a mental picture...when the f12/f13 rear mats are installed in the f06...it reminds me of a fat guy wearing a tank top that is too small. The nips are covered but the belly button & gut is exposed...he's wearing it...but not well.

Thanks for the complete and well explained response!

4-dr f06 rear floor mat is larger and has Velcro attachments to secure them to the floor:

2-dr f12/f13 (vert/coupe) rear floor mat is smaller and doesn't have Velcro attachment to floor:

I bought these just to see the quality and so far they look, feel and fit just like OEM.

I liked them because they had a bit of flare to them without being crazy.
