HELP! M6 GC or Vert?

So I went to the dealership today to what I thought would be finalize my M6 Convertible purchase, and I decided to drive an M6 GC for shits and giggles. Damn is that a good car. I'm seriously considering backing out of the M6 vert for the GC. What do I do?!??!??!

Very different cars but I would stick with a coupe either two or four doors for the rigidity.

I traded my Vert for the GC. Different drives. Just a matter of which one you prefer.

Your M6 is exactly what I have in the pipeline. The GC would be the same. That car is beautiful man!

May I ask why you made the change?

Dealer called me when they got their first M6 GC. They configured it with individual paint, leather and trim plus a B&O system. Loved the combo so decided to make the switch. I also think the GC has better proportions and the drive seems lighter and handling a bit more balanced.

Congrats Jettie, please post pics!
I test drove the vert and GC and IMO the GC was a much better car. Maybe because the last 3 cars I had were convertible and I'm sick of them, so maybe I'm just a bit irrational. At the end of the day I liked the GC Because it felt stronger in the corners and also gave me an option to have people in the back seat.

That's basically how I felt when i drove the GC. I first drove the vert, which is what I originally thought I wanted. Then I got behind the wheel of the GC, and I was blown away. I had to re-drive the vert to make sure I wasn't losing my mind. The vert was a damn good car too, don't get me wrong. And I keep trying to sell myself on it. But I just thought the GC was the better car. Anyone else have a different experience?

I have an 2013 M6 Vert and I love it. I also love the look of the M6 GC. It's beautiful.

I sat in a GC and the only thing that bothered me -- a little -- was that it's very low and hard to get in for a four door coup. I know the vert is equally low, but I expect that from a vert.

I had the GC (2013) for 4 months...and sold it for the Vert. Reasons:
- GC is nice, but it's a sedan
- GC is low...harder to get in and out of
- GC sunroof does NOT slide back...just pops up
- GC Ride was kind of hard

Vert:
- took 10 yrs off my life...alright 20 yrs!
- more fun to drive
- can hear the exhaust throat when cornering with acceleration
- The B&O sound system with the top down is really exciting

Good luck with your decision....either way you can't go wrong.

Flip a coin!

I love the M6 vert it's a great touring car and all around fun car to drive. However something about the M6GC that just draws me in every time I see one or am around one. that car is amazing!

but at the end of the day totally different cars. Both have their strengths and weaknesses. Just need to weigh them out and see at the end of the day which car makes more sense to you.

The M6 GC does not have a sunroof at all. I didn't think my M6 GC is much lower than my M6 vert.

Agreed with most of this...especially the 10yrs part..getting up there in age myself and I'll take any regression I can get.

I just think the cab is waaaayyyyyy sportier.

Well guys, I decided to pull the trigger, and not a second too soon. It was the last car spec'ed this way to come into the port for the rest of the calendar year, apparently. Sure I could have ordered one, but this way I don't have to wait 2 months.

INSANELY EXCITED! Sad to let my X5 M go, but it's the right decision. Car should be here next week! I'll post pictures as soon as it comes in.

Very very very very very very very little chance that you won't LOVE it! MO the M6 cab is the most fun of the M6 variants. Congrats!
