I've had snow tires (and all seasons) do great the first year and terrible the second year. Just that little bit of lost tread in a given year can completely change the tire. Heck, on my wife's MDX, the Goodyears (all season) were great last winter and fair at best this winter. Same car, same tire, except with another 8K worn off the tire and damn it is terrible. Or maybe the snow we are getting this year is different - it does feel colder after all

Probably my issue. Sadly I drive mine every day so it's getting a lot of salt too,,,, tires doing good enough job to finish this winter then bye bye.

My last 6 cars have Ben black. I am very happy with the SG.... Don't miss black at all. Of course, with Chicago winter, can't wait to see it clean for more than 5 seconds....

I found this yesterday, same wheel, adjacent spokes.
Richard - any final resolution?

I escalated the case, awaiting a response from Germany.

However, my tack at the moment is not specifically the cracks, it's that the wheels are cast and not forged. I asked specifically if they were cast or forged when specking the car, the answer was that they are forged, this is incorrect. At the time I said that if they were cast I'd select the 343M which are forged. BMW UK still say that 601Ms are forged and have asked for conformation from Germany. I'm expecting BMW to exchange the wheels for 343Ms.

Interesting. I agree from a weight perspective. But I do like the 601 s. Good luck. Let me know how it works out.

I slightly prefer the look of the 601Ms, but not enough to outweigh forged v cast and an 11Kg (24lb) weight difference against the 343Ms.
