640d gran coupe NBTEvo_G recommendation

Hi all,

Long time reader, first time poster…

I’ve got a March 2016 640d gran coupe that’s running NBTEvo_G.

I wanted some advice on whether I should…

- Should I update it to a more recent version for full screen capability?
- Then can I load Apple CarPlay support?

I ask because I’ve read there are concerns with the following:

- The amount of RAM available to the HU
- Other stability considerations
- Flashing the version can cause complications if ever the car needs to be looked at

I would really appreciate some insight into this, what your recommendation would be, and how I can best go about getting the work done (based in London).
