They cant fix it. F13 bmw 640d, the feedback they given me daily is the error codes goe within miliseconds of turning it on. They have tried 3 different parts, scoped the gearbox 18times and had 3 different master techs look at it. Im getting to the point of when do i say i want a replacement

Getting to the point? As soon as I heard "can't fix it" from BMW I'd be handing them the keys and stopping the payments.

They must buy it back and get you a new car.

More like when are companies going to learn to treat customers better and tell customers such as your case that the car is a lemon and will do you right and give you another one? It amazes me how these companies spend hundreds of millions on advertising but none to keep customers happy.
I was looking into either a used or possibly new 6 series but knowing all the problems with the V8 motors, I decided to get the 435GC instead and safe myself some money and headache.
Hope they do you right and give you another vehicle.

im guessing there are no lemon laws in england?

there are a few options, some might be more possible than others, but all must be done nicely in order to achieve success
- tell them you dont want the car anymore, buy it back at a reasonable price OR offer you something
- keep the loaner for as long as it takes them to fix your car
- have them replace every single thing in the car until the problem goes away, it'll take a lot of time but you'll be getting back a car that has brand new internals.
