We don't even have 4 seats

It is nice to control the passenger side with the push of a button if I'm in the car alone.

Your car is a piece of jewelry, the new 6-series is the most beautiful BMW, but I need the back seat a few years more. So the next time it becomes 640D Xdrive. Good luck with your 650i Xdrive.

I've been wondering the same thing. I don't mess with it - toggle switch does it for me!

It is just tradition and this is where it is on normal European family cars.
It was Ferrari who first implemented the paddle shift of F1 cars into their sports cars. Now you get the paddle even on a BMW 120d....
I guess if you are used to (sport)shift on the center console you can keep this habit, without trying to simulate a race driver

First let me congragulate you on the wonderful car that you have.

I just received my 640i last week and was wondering if the M sport package would look good on my vermillion red 6er since the middle segment of the rear bumper comes in black which I find unattractive and might have to paint it. I really need some feedback or maybe some pics before I spend over 10,000$ on it ( yeah it's really expensive where I live ).

I think they only offer the M package for Imola Red, not Vermillion. Here's a rear pic of an Imola Red with MSport:

I agree. I don't think M Sport is available in Vermillion Red. I don't think I'd spend that kind of money on it. The non-M looks really good, so I'd keep my $10 grand and enjoy the car as is.

I really like the look of the non-M a lot and think it looks elegant and I only thought of the M sport package because I had it on my previous cars but now I'm having second thoughts. I think I'll just wait for the M- Performance parts to come since I'm interested in the steering wheel and the exaust system.

I don't know if I want to change my rims as I have these now:

Sounds like a good plan to me. It seems like a lot of money and trouble to make the change on a perfectly good, beautiful car. Also, it looks to me like your rims aren't too bad to keep clean. The 20" style 373M on the M Sport are a pain in the @ss to clean - lots of surfaces and grooves that were created to collect brake dust in hard-to-reach places. Takes me about an hour to meticulously clean all four rims.

My M3 rims are also a pain, similar to the 373Ms with a sort of twin spoke design. Looks like the 356s on the 6er won't be so bad.

It's a lot of work, even worse than cleaning them, but I suggest applying Wheel Wax to your rims. It makes subsequent cleaning easier.

Thanks. I've been meaning to do that but haven't had the time to pull them all off, clean them, and wax. I'm doing twice-weekly cleanings of my car to keep the Carbon Black looking good (waaay too much pollen right now), but I'm just doing the wheels once a week. They could probably go a little longer than that, but I'm just trying to keep them pristine until I can get the wax on them.
