IMHO -- F12/13 M6 best 2-door coupe combing performance, style, comfort, practicality

I just returned from Monaco, which is the epicenter for exotic and rare cars, and also just attended the NYICS, and in my humble opinion, the M6 has the best combination of performance, style, comfort, and practicality of any 2-door coupe, regardless of price. Exotics and 911's have no real storage space, no question that the interior quality in the M6 is so much better than in the new M4 (also believe it is better looking, but that is much more subjective), the M6 interior and exterior is better than any AMG or Audi (and outperforms them once moving), the Rolls and Bentleys are boats, so what else is there? Just came away from my trip, and the car show, appreciating even more what a fantastic car, and all-around package, the M6 provides. Would not trade it for any car.

Agreed. I don't keep cars longer than 1 year, but to be honest, I don't know a better car than my M6! Can't think of one.

I couldnt agree more!! For my purposes, I would rather have a 991 Turbo, but its much more expensive and not a true GT....But, M6 hard to beat for its all around practicality!! Now if it were just 500-600lbs lighter LOL

Me too, the Turbo S is an amazing machine, but I still cannot get past the styling. The Porsche fanboys will hate me for saying that, but for a 200k Turbo S, I want more exotic styling and a more luxurious interior. I understand the "Driver's car" or "purist" arguments, but for 200k I guess I want it all...

The technology and performance are that of a hypercar, so I still might force myself into one someday...

I was going more towards the NON S..991 TT. I built it and ordered it but cancelled its just so much more expensive than M6, couldnt justify the added cost. Priced it around 159k...I think the TT S is a waste. You get an exhuast and EVOMS tune and you will get 80-100hp on a standard TT...

The Porsche Option Guide is ridiculous; I can barely muster the mental fortitude to completely price one online. I stopped twice previously but finally persevered a week ago - 170k for the Turbo.

The Turbo S is probably superfluous, but the one appealing thing is that it's pretty much maxed-out from the factory. At least that's what I hear from a lot of forum guys....

This thread subject is correct - I'm actually looking to buy a car in the next year, but the comprehensively pleasing nature of the M6 has me flummoxed. The R8, 991 TT, and S63 AMG Coupe are great, but not enough to counteract the cognitive dissonance of leaving the M6. That's how I feel now anyway. Maybe the new R8, Panamera Turbo, Bentley GT, Acura NSX, or Infinity GTR will change my mind....

Was called today by my local Maserati dealership and they offered a pay-off on up to 10 remaining payments on a lease if I hand over my M6 for a new Maserati Quattroporte S Q4. I told them my car isn't leased and they offered $10,000 over trade-in value if I was to trade my M6. Told them I wasn't interested in letting my M6 go so they offered $10,000 off MSRP on a Maserati of "my choice". They sounded pretty desperate, to be honest. However, I was courteous and told them I'd sleep on it, while in my mind I was thinking "Trade my M6?! For that?! Hell no!".

Agreed. Like I said, the only car I'd trade my current Grand Tourer for is the Aston Martin Vanquish, and that would be solely on looks, rarity, and nameplate, not technical superiority. If an Aston dealer offered me $30,000 over market value on a trade for my M6 in exchange for buying the Vanquish, I would be all over that. Gotta be $30,000 though, those Vanquish are pricey.

Wait a couple years until they start utilizing more of their recent MB partnership. MB engines + Vanquish looks = Winner

Love the Vanquish, but you can have an M6 coupe and an M6 GC for less than a Vanquish….. or a vert if you wish.

I think you guys are completely missing the point. The whole appeal of Astons is that glorious 6.0L V12, so that would be a pretty stupid move to move to a turbo V8 and I seriously doubt it would happen.
