Would love to hear any feedback on Ghibli and Quattraporte? I drove both of them recently. They look, sound and drive amazing! Exhaust note in Sport mode is just too good! On the other hand, not sure if I am ready to take a leap of faith and own an Italian exotic with concerns around reliability, access to dealership etc.

Have to Agree, I have the LCI M5 and have the M6 GC CP on order, it's Sooo different, and more exclusive.

I think OP's main concern was M car, if not and if you think M5/M6 is not DD car so why 650? he can get 640 much cheaper.
And also there are lots of difference between M6 and 650. Since I have experience with two cars (I owned/own 650i M-Sport package and M6) , I can tell you the difference. Beside the aggressive look (front, rear, those big rotors and brilliant calipers) , power, torque, steering, suspension, throttle response, differential and transmission are totally different. The transmission by itself makes two car completely different. ZF8 is really awesome transmission. it's smooth and fast, but not as fast as DCT when you want to change the gear manually or it changes in automatic. overall 650i/640i are luxury cars and M6 is sport-luxury car .... Oh I forgot to say about amazing MDM mode

Got a call from a guy I know at a local Maserati dealer offering me some crazy deals on the Quattroporte or Ghibli with my M6 as a trade. Basically a payoff on the last 7 lease payments on my M6 if I were to lease a Ghibli (I was not eligible because I didn't lease my M6) or a trade in bonus of $10,000 over my M6s current market value contingent I purchase the Quattroporte, interestingly the base MSRP is lower than the M6 at $102,500 vs. $111,200, so I'm not sure how that would have worked out with the trade in value + the $10k bonus. I wasn't really interested as I always thought the old Maseratis were not very good, but since I hadn't tried the new ones I stopped by to take a look. First impression on the Ghibli was "I'm sitting in a Chrysler 300." which I was familiar with having driven one when a friend rented it one time he was visiting from out of town. I absolutely hated that Chrysler. Later I found out I was right (sort of). Both cars share the same platform and engine from Chrysler, just with some Italian treatment in the Maserati's case. Then I got into the bigger Quattroporte. I, like you, liked the exhaust note, the interior not so much, it just felt like a bigger Ghibli to me, the layout being all too familiar. The drive was not nearly as engaging as an M6. I would take an M6 Grand Coupe over a Quattroporte any day, even if they offered me a free Ghibli to boot. Heck they would have a better chance offering me just the Quattroporte and no Ghibli. If the next Gran Turismo is anything like its current siblings, it won't do much to steer me away from my M6 Coupe either.
