No, I talked to Dinan a few times, there is already a beta software for the new M6/M5. The final version should come out in the end of Jan or mid Feb. Their greatest challenge is to unlock the top speed governor, apparently it's a lot harder on new models.

No problem, I like an idea of keeping warranty also.
It terms of price, just a chip tuning on my 750i costed $3500, and I think it WILL cost more for M6/M5

Any movement on this? Can't believe it's taking so long. Have they thrown in the towel?

Also, any projected numbers on the possible gains?

I heard something interesting regarding Dinan's offering. Its been tested for over 100k miles on Steve Dinan's personal M5 including track days. All good, but I also heard its a "juice box" meaning piggy back not an ecu reflash

I talked with the Dinan rep at Classic BMW (Plano,Tx) today. Word on the street is the stage 1 will created an additional 60-70 HP. However, there appears to be another tune (I'm assuming additional hardware is involved), that will cost $12-13k. I have no idea what that could possibly be.

Curious to see what stage 1 will cost. I also heard that it will not be a flash.

It really is disappointing. My F10 550i hauled serious tail, with the Dinan tuning and I have no complaints on the timing of their development on it. However, the M5 and M6 are a completely different story. Dinan is getting beat to the market by everyone.

Dinan will release a D-Tronics Performance Tuner, which will be a software box with wire harness. This will be available in June from my understanding.
Dinan has a cold air intake available now that will begin shipping next week as well.
