MOST not working

Afternoon all. First time post.

My 2012 640d coupe has an issue with the MOST system, namely it’s not working.

The idrive screen is blank so I am unable to access all idrive functionality including hud.

Had it in at a local independent bm specialist but they cannot identify fault even having it connected to the main bmw ista system. All fibre optics are working okay.

Booked in to local dealers but even without looking at it, based on the print outs from the independent they have casually quoted a cost of “a couple of grand”.

Just wondered if anyone has encountered any similar problems as this does seem rather excessive and annoying given the cars only got 62k on the clock and has only covered 2000 miles in the last year as I haven’t used it much.

If so does £2000+ Sound about right?

Sorry I can't help. I had to google MOST just to figure out it's a media bus. Sometimes drive less is less good than driving more.

Too true but you still don’t expect the electronics to give up without too much usage.
