Question Rear Bushings - 650i vert

Howdy, Campers!

I searched the forums, but couldn't find much on suspension bushings, so am airing it here...

I've started to get some squeak from my rear end when absorbing medium to large loads. (that sounds bad... lol) It's most noticeable when traversing a speed hump or a large negative undulation on the motorway - also more pronounced if I've got luggage or extra weight in the boot (e.g. dead hookers, the hopes & dreams of my youth, etc. - heavy things.).

Has anyone replaced their rear sway/control/etc. bushings on the F12 650i?
I'm curious if you were able to make a case to have it done under warranty.
If not, did you go with BMW OE parts or do you have any suggestions for aftermarket??
I'd also appreciate some guidance on labour time/cost as well, please.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Many thanks!

-SA

Lightbulb Honking-creaking

No, but the sound does evolve in certain situations. It also changed slightly when it got colder/warmer here in the UK - so I thought maybe convertible roof seals(?) could be the culprit.

It's mostly a 'honking-creaking'... like stepping on a goose that's already been wounded to suffocate it.. (not advocating that as the proper way to dispatch a wounded goose; you should break its neck humanely etc.)

What were you thinking?

The creaking I'm familiar with sounds like a door with dry hinges coming from the rear suspension goes away after the first bump on the road and dealer could not pinpoint where it was coming from

Did you ever fix it or did you just live with it?

I suppose my honking/squeaking could be described that way.

It doesn't go away with the first thump though.

living with it for now. Its pretty new, and isn't worth the drive and wait for bmw to tell me they can't replicate. I will see what happens and bring it up the next time I am in for servicing.
