Newbie: Any Good Experience with the N63?

First post and new to the forum. I have a 2012 650i Individual with 48,000 miles. No major issues to date. CCP completed in mid 2015. Every post is so down on the engine and car I was just wondering if any one had a positive story or two about their 2012 650i. Appreciate the forum and look forward to being an active part of the conversation.

I have a 2012 550i with the N63 engine. Had the CCP done at about 60K in 2015, at 100k now and no issues. Car is still a joy to drive and everything still works perfectly. Well, as far as I know!

Glad to hear it. Couldn't be happier with my car! Really hard to find that combination of speed and luxury. Full leather champagne interior and Citrin Black relay make this this thing special (At least for me). This is my 3rd 6 and I think I am going to keep this one for the long haul. Just took it on a 2900 mile journey with out any issues. It ate a qrt of oil but hey this fat girl likes to eat..... premium gas and synthetic oil that is... Thanks for the response. Hope there are a few more of us out there with a good N63 experience.

I've got around 55K miles on an N63 550. CCP was done around 20K miles and absolutely zero issues before or after the CCP. It's been bulletproof so far and for a turbo car in the Arizona heat that's pretty surprising.

N63 works so far

We’ve had the car for a year now and the motor has been “ok” . The coolant lines leaked when I bought it. (Replaced by dealer). Uses a qt of oil about every 3300mi. Took the car to Florida from NC last month and was great to drive with the top off. I’ve spoken to multiple (non dealer BMW) repair centers and they’ve all said to watch the oil and use the best gas possible. So far so good. CCP was done before we got it. We have put 10k mi on it since we’ve had it.

Purchase car off lease in 2015. CCP Done before I purchased car. No issues major issues so far. Replaced plugs in 2016 after some rough starts and had turbo coolant hose leak, replaced crappy plastic Y pipe.

Three years two minor problems. I drive the car a lot. bought with 30K and now have 86K

I see a lot of drivetrain malfunction post from N63TU owners and supposedly that car had fixes for common N63 problems?
