Anyone else Considering M4
This is a car that's a relative bargain for a german performance car. Base MSRP 63kish..Probably be 70k with options and tons of performance. I expect outstanding handling...

Yes.....well, sort of.
I've just today ordered an M3 to replace our M135i (I don't think you have this little 1er in the States but you're effectively getting it in the new M235i launched at Detroit this week, which is the same car but in a coupe). Awesome little thing but the new M3/4 was inevitable given I always liked my e92 M3 which, whilst ultimately inferior to my M6 in most disciplines, was definitely the more fun, feelsome and dynamic car to drive. My car should be in one of the first batches in the UK in late June Sakhir Orange with Silverstone interior. I can't believe the new M3/4 is just $63k in the US....ours is nearly that in UK Pounds!!! |

I've been thinking about both the M6 and a M4 or 235M. But is it two cars performing the same function...
Isn't your price in U.K. or Europe include the Marxist VAT tax? |

the price point is hard to beat. Almost got me considering it for a moment lol. I mean it's hard not to when it's almost half the price of a m6gc. I'm just not sure how I feel going back to an I-6!

Thats exactly where i am at. Have an M6 but if I replace with M4 which will no doubt handle better feel more like a go cart and be almost as fast at 60% of the price...hmmm

For you current owners of the M6 / M6GC, what are your opinions of a new M4 vs. a used 2013 M6? I'm thinking a well equipped M4 is almost $80k and well equipped M6's are already selling for mid $80's:
http://www.6post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=862547 By next summer a new M4 and 2013 M6 will be about equal. Assuming the same price, any thoughts on which you would choose? |

In my case M4 will be about 74500.00....Most M6's if not all are at least 120k....Big difference, then factor in taxes etc which are more on more expensive vehicle and you're looking at probably a 50k difference

Completely different cars, with identical blood.
I have a 2014 M6 coupe, while my brother have E92 M3 and his M4 is on the way. We both love M cars but in a different point of view. Beside being an M car that has all M power capabilities, I like the M6's luxury+Power. But my brother likes the M4's handling perfection+track oriented chasis. I may compensate my relatively "heavy car" with a used 1M or later with M2. Therefor I may have both extremes (luxury&power) + (agility&Fun). In my opinion, If you want to have 1 car with track Fun more than street Luxury (keep in mind that the M6 is also very joyful) then go for M4. If you dont care about replacing brake pads very often after track days, and considering street racing/Luxury? Then it worth going for M6 Coupe, I guarantee you that it is faster than a 991 turbo. And veeeery joyful in circuits. |

Yeah that is correct. My bad, I was using my ED pricing and the 80k MSRP. But your difference is more correct for the general population.
