Hood gaps uneven. Sign of body work?
Looking at a preowned gran coupe at an independent. Carfax is clean but that doesn't always mean it's so. The gap between the hood and the front quarter panel is different from left to right. Moreso on the right. Like almost 3/8 to 1/2 inch. Left side is like 1/8. Also on the right some of the wheel well flashing is not tucked under the front quarter panel. Then the right side skirt is loose. I can almost pull it off and see the clips don't engage. Is that a sign body work was likely done on that front quarter panel? Like maybe slight impact and repair? Rim has some curb rash and tire is slightly damaged. Would definitely do a PPI but just thought I'd ask here. Drives great though.

even if it wasn't a major hit, the panel may have been removed and fixed or replaced with another of the same coloring. You should be able to tell if it's been painted by looking at the welds and factory seals.

hood being uneven is problem most likely with clips under hood not engaged fully or one side is engaged but the other isnt. This is actually a common mistake when closing the hood with uneven force on left and right side. I noticed it when picking mine up from dealer once

there should be knobs on the left and right side of the hood that turn to adjust lowering and raising of the hood to meet flush with the bumper/fender. play with those and get the right height
