Drivers Seat Bolster Wear On New M6 GC

Hello All

This my 1st post in a long time as i have been frequenting some other sites, i recently took delivery of a brand new M6 GC following on from the 640d GC and wondered if any ones can share experience on the following

- Drivers seat outer bolster wear, mine is getting quote shiny after only 1400 miles, i know this is the softer leather but the wear seems excessive to me.

- Secondly I wonder if any of you have noticed whats almost looks like a cracking line on the leather dash just above the heater grills, if you look on the left and right hand side of the central display where it meets the air vents.

Other than that all is good with no issues so far.

i will post pics as soon as figure out how to by the way the spec is

Black Sapphire Met
Black Leather
Piano Black Trim
Soft Close
Comfort Access
Rear blind
Rear Heating & 4Way
Sun Protection
433 Alloys

Many thanks

Rav

Have you cleaned and conditioned the leather since noticing this issue? I have a feeling that you'd see an improvement. I personally use Zaino Cleaner and Conditioner and after 25k miles my interior looks and smells like new. The dealer never believed I had passengers in my car since the cracks and wear was so minimal.

I highly recommend doing it once a month. Leatherique is another good product. I use Zaino because I love the results and smells great.

Thanks I actually use very mild baby wipes and find that these work best for getting the matt black finish, have also tried auto glym but again that puts and even shinier sheen on top of the already shiny leather. Does the product you suggest leave a durable matt finish >

I use Doctor Leather to clean the seats and dashboard. Definitely does not leave any shiny finish at all.

Then G Technique Leather Guard to protect it. Helps stop abrasion and any colour transfer from jeans etc etc.

No conditioner as I don't believe they are good for car seats as it actually attracts dirt which then promotes faster wear. I don't believe modern day car leathers actually absorb anything, so any thing you apply like a conditioner just remains on the surface.

13 months from new and 16,000 miles. Seats are perfect and they are Silverstone coloured.
