Beware - Different M Oil
It's been 2900 miles with the beast and my oil-top-off light came on this morning on my way to work.
First time having to top it off so hopefully this means little to no blow-by. I was debating going to the dealer for the free top off or just using an old quart I had laying around at my residence from my E90 M3. Thankfully! I just went to the dealer. Turns out this car doesn't take the traditional dedicated and branded 10W-60 castrol M oil, but instead takes a 5W-30. So M drivers beware- hopefully this isn't a repost. Cheers, Alpha

No. You are in a warmer climate so 0w-30 is fine. If you were in an area where temps fluctuate(hot-freezing) then 5w-30.
