[640d]20 inch staggered wheels with different width
Hi guys,
BMW and other german cars tends to undersize the width of the rims, resulting in an aesthetic appearance where the tires protrudes out of the rims. These are the original BMW rims: 245/35 R20 (8,5Jx20) ET33 275/30 R20 (9Jx20) ET44 In my case, for the next summer i want switch from 19" staggered to 20" staggered with non RFT. In case i go for aftermarket wheels, most have different width than the original. As most online tables says the correct width are these: -for 245 8.5 to 9 inch -for 275 10 to 10.5 inch Can anyone has the correct ET for this different width rims without the risk of rubbing against suspension components or fenders? Thank you in advance |

Common ET for the front on a 9" wide wheel is around 30-35. The 35 offset for example, would give you about 8mm less clearance inside the wheel and be about 4mm more aggressive on the outside - won't rub on either side.
Most aggressive offset on 10.5" wide wheel in back would be around 45 giving you 20mm less clearance on the inside and 18mm more aggressive on the outside
