I'm almost 100% sure bruh.

I'll look for the post and send it to ya.

However- Bmw Generations last 6 production years. That I'm sure of. In the U.S.- we are only into the 4th year
Bruh, I just saw it a few weeks ago.

Didn't you see it? 600hps awd option?

If I had to guess, this current LCI will only be out for 2 years. This year and 2017. Maybe the 2017 goes for a year and a half. I think the 2018 model will be a G.

They pretty much did nothing during this LCI, probably because they knew the new one is going to come out soon. The 6 isn't selling well, and doing practically nothing during the LCI instead of trying to get more sales, seems like it isn't going to be much longer.

Wouldn't it take a year off- thus starting in 2019?

I know Europe got 2012s f1x models so it's totally plausible that 2017 ends production of the f1x models.

I can't imagine it be ready for 2018. Regardless that's too far down the line. I was wrong about trying to ignore the build process. I've been calling every day and making friends with the customer service specialists hahah.

I forgot, are you doing ED? Or driving off from your dealer (your b6)?

Pretty sure the U.S. got 2012's too, maybe not the M, but we got the 650. I can see your point though, there might not be an M in 2018, but there could be a new 650.

I know my build date is week 26th, and I still track my car daily...

Doing ED, but probably wont drive the car in Europe. Have to get back pretty fast.

I should have been more specific- I was only talking M cars, not the 640/650s. My mistake!

Lucky man! I hope to do ED sometime, if I had done it with this m6 on the way-I too wouldn't have been able to drive it around Europe, which id like to do for at least my first BMW ED.

I have time to drive it for a day, but thought it might have a better chance of getting here sooner if I just get them to transfer it to the port. I am going to try to take a tour of the alpina factory instead.

I got my first F13 650i (2012 model) in September 2011 and it was one of the first F13 650i arrived in US. If I'm not mistaken, the production for US started in August 2011; however the F12 650i (convertible) was already out there (I test drove the convertible before jumping to the coupe since no coupe was available at any Ca dealership at that time). So basically 2017 should be the last year of 6er production and I believe we will see the next M6 (in US) in late 2018 as 2019 model.

The 5, 6, 7 share a lot of tech. From E65/66 the release order has been similar.

E65 end of 2001
E60 mid 2003
E63 start of 2004

F01 end of 2008
F10 start of 2010
F12 middle of 2011

G01 will be end of this year
So I'm going to guess the new 5 series will be the first half of 2017
6 series should be 2018 sometime.

Of course the M5 and M6 are also a little bit behind the release of the main car. So maybe 2018 for the M5 and 2019 for the M6 will be about right.

I think the 6er is awesome, but let's be honest. A fully loaded M6 is like 140k? I'd rather have an S550 Coupe. Not quite as fast, but that thing is the finest GT on the road right now.

So these figures are the exact same as the M5 30 jahre edition?
Why not have a 600hp and speed delimiter at the first place? BMW remids me of mercedes and their various amg versions of e63. These kind of cars should be able to reach above 300kmh without paying extra...I wonder does Audi deliver their RS6 delimited?..Either way this PP is a nice add on , 600hp and 700Nm on paper...this by all means should have x drive.

Looks like the G series is coming sooner than expected. Oh well..I for one, after experiencing all these intermediate upgrades will wait until a later stage to consider one.. there better be a remap available though to sort the speed limiter! Until then I'll reconsider the 2016 M4 with a remap as a next car so I can get what I want tuning wise.

As far as I know, all M, RS and AMG cars from factory come with a speed limiter of 250 km/h. There's a reason why BMW, Audi and Mercedes have a gentleman's agreement on top speed. You should google it and read up on it. There are quite a few factors including but not limited to state regulations and corporate social responsibility.

That's the misunderstanding of unit conversions. B6 was announced as 600 PS (metric horsepower) which is equal to 591 HP (international horse power)

Depends on what you are looking for. If you need luxurious (let's give MB credit and say ultra luxurious) then S550 might be the one but if you need sportiness, agility, power and fun, then noway S550 (and even S63) can beat M6
