Discounted New 6 series- Does it make sense to buy

Does it make sense to buy a new 6 series Gran Coupe now? As I believe they are being discontinued?

If you like the car, I'd buy it, it's that last chance to get what was the best touring car BMW made.

Agree. 8 series will probably be nice, but well in the 6 figures (and not a GC).

Personally id wait, as nice as the six is its getting dated in some areas especially when compared with the G Series cars, Id bet the new 8 will also be subject to heavy incentives from day one, abit like the current 6 that was available on 0% more or less at launch time.

The 6 will always drop in price, as is the case with any "mass" produced vehicle. OP, you can always buy a 2012-2014 6 series. You can get those now under $40K in the US.

Its definatly a buyers market with these discounts, i had alook at px ing mine yesterday its a 2014 640d msport with 20000 miles on it and got offered 16k trade in obviously told them to stuff it. This low trade in offer is down to the massive discounts on the leftover stock of new ones. My advice is go for it but be prepared to lose alot of money on the car if you are not intending to keep for a long time.

Thats a joke, just think what it will cost to replace with something on par, I pxd my 640d last August it was a 2013 car with 30k miles, traded it for £26k, I know this was a long time ago but £16k is taking the P""S.

I think if your in the market either by a newer car with a view to keeping it or a find a lightly used high spec example for the lowest price possible. As ever though these cars are at that age where you can separate the dogs from the nice one and prices will be commensurate

Thats what i thought! This depreciation means i've lost over 20k in 2 years. Just aswell i love the car. If a sensible offer comes along it may be time to get rid before i have pay someone to take the car of me
