M6 is going bye bye

I've now owned 2 and love(d) them both. The F was a huge step up from the E but the E had some great qualities too. I will likely be back once I see the next gen released.

Until then, mine is going bye bye.

It and some killer parts are listed on the for sale page.

I assure you all of them are top notch condition.

Hope letting people know over here is ok.

Goodluck buddy. Hope to see you back in family soon (next gen).
What is the replacement? I recall you were in favor of GT3...
AMG GTS should be a good replacement BTW
I have not driven yet since I'm still in love with M6 but I've heard it's a powerful/nimble car...

I won't pay over sticker and GT3's are still there.

1) car has to sell and I don't need to sell it

2) I have the first private NSX (actual 1st is the owner of the dealership) in my area. Since that is likely a Q1 or Q2 '16 delivery, I have some time. I can't really afford 2, so if I can sell before winter when I don't drive the M6, that is what I will do.

3) If the NSX tops $175k, it's back to the drawing board because I don't want to spend over that.

4) "Back to the drawing board" includes GT3, Turbo S, MP4 12C and..... The new Lexus coupe slated for summer '16.

5) I don't know what the hell I will do! ?

Good friend of mine has the GT-S... Badass ride but you definitely feel cramped. It's a rocket though

Yes ... Very nice car. Cramped for space and no room for booster seats ... 12 more years till both in university and then 2 seaters easier to justify!!!

Very nice fit and finish and perhaps much more a rare car. A good choice as it will be well backed as well ... But I'd hold of till the second production year as a few more technology and gadgets will come as standard based on my experience with My last 2 amg's ... Heads up display and iPod type touch screen on the 2015 S63 that was not avail on 2014 ... I'm a tech junky, in addition to exhaust but, so it makes a difference

Your other choices also nice ... But perhaps the NSX over the GT3

AMG GTS and McLaren (570s or 650s) are on top of my list for next year as M6 replacement not in favor of NSX but GT3.
The issue with NSX is the price that I can't justify for a Japanese car. Don't get me wrong still I recall the fun days I had with my 2007 Acura TL Type-S, but 150k+ for a Japanese car wishes to be R8 ? ummm not my cup of tea

I do agree that the NSX is likely overpriced for something non german ... But most 911s look very similar to the untrained eye ... Did love them on the race track but they never really stood out in my opinion ... Sorry not trying to offend anyone here. I think the new NSX Will likely be low production like the last gen as will the GTS ... And a unique look ... I'd still do a german brand over Japanese ... But that's just me ... Now to evict my kids and get the GTS.

Kidding ... Loving the M6 cab ... As do the kids

Well you are right all 911 look the same, but not perform the same.
General speaking I'm not in favor of 911 but 991 GT3 (and GT3 RS) are exceptions. That much power of NA high rev engine mounted on the rear of RWD sport car with sport suspension must be amazing. If the transmission was MT, then was no doubt for me as the next car....
Damn... this M DCT has spoiled me ... not sure about the new PDK, but 997 creepy PDK was way off the M DCT...not even close

GT-S kills us off the line, but 40-150+ is pretty even. Becomes a driver issue. We traded back and forth.

If $150-$170k, the NSX will be worth it. Above $170k and it becomes a little sketchier.

GT3 is an amazing car but does get lost in the sea of "just a 911" to most. I like the cars that are pretty rare and the NSX will give that even more so than Ferrari's and Lamborghini's in my area. It's why I've had the M6's.. There are still only around 5 in our city. There really aren't many 6 series, period. That said... If I could get a GT3 for sticker, I would own it today. It's that good of a car.

McLaren is on point for sure but the 570s is out of my range... 2 kids in private school says "no no"

Sadly, I too am leaving the fold. Tormented. Kids grown, last off to college, recently single. Have a Selenite gray AMG GTS on order for Oct 2015. Only need one other seat for my coat and hatch for golf clubs. Perfect!
