About fuse number

Hello i need ur help. Couldn't figure it out about which fuse for cigarette light.
Im trying to install dash cam thru chigar lighter of fuse box
Also im curious i better hook it up on cigar lighter fuse or exhaust flap fuse?
And what amp fuse necessary for it?

I will appreciate if u guys share that information

The fuse for the cigarette llighter that is near the shift lever is behind the glove box and is a motherfin pain to change and get to. I’d find a different fuse from the trunk or something.

Yea. I already made a line to all the way back trunk fuse box
But im not sure which number fuse need to be hokked up.
If u have any information please let me know please

5a fuse is enough for dash cam?

5a should be more then plenty. I can only speak accuracy for the M6 but there’s empty spots in trunk fuse panel. Some are constant on others are on with ignition. You can fuse whichever you prefer. I know some people want their dash cam running 24/7. I’d do ignition power. Also people have pulled power from mirror assembly.

Oh i prefer to have ignition one too. I need check 1 by 1 on empty spot?

Yeah test light with ignition mode on. Varies depending on vehicle options. Mirror route would be better in the sense that it’s cleaner and you don’t have to route and tuck wires to the trunk. There’s a write up for it I’m pretty sure on here
