I read the links from M5Board and M3cutters that were posted on this thread. Sounds like they'd organised a large meet of M cars which would be great. However, I gather the meet ended early when an M4 and M6 collided. No one badly injured but the cars didn't come off to well. Apart from that it would be good to keep an eye on the M5/M4/M3 forums to see if there are any meets. I like the idea of a Midlands one which could attract more people of course. One thing that could be done is to drive down to a car show such as BMW at Gaydon in August or similar.

The collision was a one off - meets happen all the time if you check the regional threads and they all involve a bring and show type event mostly so less chance of this.

Will either start my own thread and advertise to other forums or keep a lookout for others for us to tack onto.

Looks like SO M6 is pretty popular in UK... not that much in US
I would like to know how many and what percentage SO M6 has been produced so far...

I don't have any stats for the face lift as they use new VIN blocks. So, if anyone has a facelift M6GC please let me know the first 4 of the last 7 characters of the VIN!

Thanks Richard.

So then SMB is actually the most popular UK colour M6GC which is surprising - worldwide its Black and White which dominate.

Sounds less exclusive but then there are still only 48 I guess!

Interesting... only 3.8% (158/4125) is SO and as expected AW+BSM contain 44.8% (1847/4125) of total produced M6GC

I'm hardly north being in Hampshire and have yet to see another M6 on the road! They seem to be rarer than my old SC VXR8.
up for a meet if its not to far though.

If you are sorting a MEET I'm happy to drive down from N West. Just suggest a few dates and see what suits most.
Look forward to meeting everyone

I am up for organising a little do.

Been thinking about it for a few weeks but can’t confirm dates or locations as I always have something on the weekends personally.

But these things happen by putting a stake down first.

Only worry I have is if I say Waitrose Wolverhampton at 10am on 19th July, the whole area is under an injunction for “car cruising” which I think this is.
