BMW M6 (F12) downpipe installation

Hello all,

BMW M6 (F12) here...
I have purchased VRSF stainless steel catless downpipes; they should arrive on Friday.

I've done some searching but I cannot seem to find any preliminary instructions on the install. Can anyone point me to some good solid instructions?

I was also informed that I would need new gaskets between the turbo and downpipes, and between downpipes and exhaust. Are there any part numbers or references where I can purchase some?

Thanks so much in advance.

Update:

I found some helpful tutorials on the installation of the downpipes.

However, I still cannot find what gaskets I need to replace.

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=18_0952

18307843213 (#7) is the gasket between the downpipe and the midpipe.
Which part # is the gasket between the downpipe and the turbo?

There is no gasket between the turbo and the down pipe. Its just a v-band clamp. I've changed out about 4 different DPs and have reused the V-band clamps in all instances.

Just got the same DP's installed on mine, absolutely LOVE the sound paired with the competition exhaust. They don't fit 100% perfect but any legitimate shop will know how to adjust whatever they need to do.

Video below of a cold start

How off were they? Would you buy the VSRF ones again? Any check engine light?

Get the Active Autowerke tune. Gets rid of CEL and adds 120 WHP. Turns it into a beast ! https://store.activeautowerke.com/co...2-bmw-6-series

Thought about tune and didn’t think it was worth it to me. Car is plenty fast enough for me as is. I don’t want to take away from its reliability. I have other toys if I want more power. Once you start turning things up, there’s never enough power and this isn’t one of those cars where you want to get stuck in that cycle lol.

You do realize that you will have a "check engine" fault lamp on with the downpipes installed ?
JB4 wont work no more, so unless you don't care about the light on...you'll need a flash tune

Here we go... Some dp’s don’t throw a code. Most do, Very few don’t but it’s a gamble. Was curious about this set. You do realize you can get a flash tune with out turning up the power correct? Saying this because my original response was in reference to “JohnLM6’s” comment about turning up the horsepower. Nothing related to whether or not a tune is necessary..

Nice, that's good info to know.
Which catless downpipes don't throw fault codes ?
And yes you can get a flash tune without an actual performance tune
