BMW 640xd GC Tips and Tricks

Hey guys,

I just bought 2015 BMW 640xd Gran coupe (full options) and I'm curious are there any interesting tips and tricks such as:
1. how to activate launch control?
2. is it possible to update the software manually or I should visit a BMW dealer.
3. what I could do with the connected drive. Any interesting apps?
3. some other tricks...

Congratulations on your 640.
I can answer two of your questions, not sure about the Launch control though
You can upgrade some of the iDrive software options mainly related to the Media and Phone connectivity. New releases of the software for your specific VIN can be downloaded from :

http://www.bmw.com/com/en/owners/con...re_update.html

There are lots of features of the connected drive, including many apps Apps via connecting with iPhone , Internet access, as well as built in applications such as email, weather, news feeds, send to car information, remote services
