Start/Stop Issues

Has anyone had problems with their start/stop? I've now had my 2012 6er coupe for 11mo and have started noticing when taking my foot off the brake and it auto-starts back up, it sometimes seems to be very labored. A handful of times after this labored start up, it's even shifted into park... Not great, especially when the light turns green. Is this a known issue? Next time I make it to the dealer, I want to get the update that allows me to turn it off and keep it off for sure.

I've been using the start/stop function on my other car until it starting to stall consistently when I let my foot off the brake. Almost got rear ended once at a traffic signal when the light turned green and my car rolled forward and stalled. The function has been disabled ever since. Before I took delivery of my GranCoupe, I had my dealer program the start/stop function so that it would be off every time I start the engine.

I think this is a stupid, pretentious feature on a luxury car. No one buys a car like this if fuel consumption is a high priority.

These do not feature on 650s, thankfully. Everytime I get into another BMW, this is the first thing I disable.

It's not really about fuel consumption. It's about emissions.

Its both actually. Idling waste a lot of fuel also and thus S/S brings up the city MPG numbers.
