Thinking about an M6

Hi folks,

I am new to this forum, so .

I had the original 645 when they were re-introduced in 2004. Since then, I've been in and out of everything under the sun, including an M3 vert and a 911. I woke up today feeling the itch for an M3. However, I want brute power for about 5-6K miles a year. So, I am fine with something on the older side. I don't need many creature comforts. So, I've been looking at 2007-2010 M6s with 60K or less miles.

Here in the DC area, I found a 2007 coupe with 51K miles, listed for 24K. I offered 18.5K and the used car salesman told me i was being unrealistic.

What are you thoughts?

1) Is a 2007-2008 M6 with sub 60K miles too much of a liability from a repair side?

2) If yes, what would you suggest, keeping in mind, I'd like to be into the car with with as little as possible, and after most of the depreciation has hit.

3) if no to 1 above, what's a fair price for what I am looking for.

4) what would you offer on the 2007 coupe I described above. I went a bit lower because (1) it's winter now and 2) the car is in probably the color I like the least.
