I'm in need brakes pretty soon and looking for something a little better than factory and a bit more appealing. What website are you guys getting your brakes from? Thank you in advance!

What is it about factory brakes you don't like? Not much discussion here about drilled rotors. Mostly it's about pads, either to get ones that generate less dust or are perceived to stop better. The dust part I get, but the stopping better part I don't get so much unless you track the car. I buy ceramic pads to reduce dust. From an appealing look perspective, I personally think the shiny aluminum rotor hats on the factory rotors (or Brembo rotors) look better than drilled holes and dull rotor hats. Maybe have your calipers painted.

Nothing against factory. My factory rotors are warped and the only reason why I want drilled rotors is for the look.

Great opinion.... Horrible answer

I believe the question was what site are people using to get F06 Brake parts.

I did full brakes on my 640 GC, and FCP euro had ZImmerman Cross-drilled front rotors and I went with Brembro Carbon pads. ( FROM TURNERMOTORSPORTS) and the rear pads and rotors were a Zimmerman set from FCP with the wear sensor. Remember to have a computer and disengage your ELEC parking brake, you don't want to screw that up.

I installed a set of StopTech (Centric) cross drilled and slotted rotors along with some hybrid ceramic/metal pads. I immediately put the factory pads back on. Way less brake dust. I only had 15k on the car when i swapped rotors. Braking is still great. I wish Akebono made pads for the 650i Gran Coupe. They only make rears from what I have seen.

Honestly the OEM rotors are going to be tough to beat in terms of performance. Unfortunately there's not a very wide variety of performance upgraded front brake pads to choose from for our vehicles. As far as rear pads go there's a handful of options to choose from.

Check out buybrakes.com I got a set of StopTech cross-drilled rotors and Hawk pads there. Their customer service was really good as well, called to make sure I chose the proper sizes and helped with additional hardware and sensors. Very happy with them

Hello. I was also looking to upgrade my old brakes to something better. Ended up getting new rotors and street ceramic brake pads. I've shed some weight off my wheels, got rid of the brake dust mostly, got the look I wanted. I also got rid of the braking noise and car seem to brake more effortlessly than before.
I ordered my brake from AliBaba vendor. Basically China but the quality is excellent. My local car shop mechanic was really impressed. He said that everything fit like a glove and they didn't even have to balance the rotors. These are the guys that make Brembo during the day and same stuff but unbranded during the night for a fraction of a cost. You can drop me a message if you are interested. My kit took time to arrive but it's well worth it.
Also a thing to note is that I couldn't not find any kind of drilled rotors from local dealers and across Europe. Only stuff for M6 that doesn't fit.
