2015 held up at port.

Anyone get their 2015 6gc yet? Dealer saying it is held up at port because of customs. Anyone hear of this before?

Which port / country? I had a problem in the UK. The dealership ended up arranging for a transporter to pick up the car to hit the end of march delivery timescale.

Maybe the 2015 models aren't supposed to be officially released yet?

They are clear to release and sell. I had bought my 2014 this time last year, and the dealers around here have several different 2015's out already.

The new 2015 X3 looks really slick. It's like a mini X5.

2015 6GCs or 2015s of other models?

did you do ED and now your waiting for re delivery?

If that is the case then yes it can take some time for the car to clear customs.

David just checked and there is no info whatsoever or bulletins from BMW regarding hold up at the port for any units.

The first model year cars are always held up a bit due to EPA regs (even if nothing changed).

BMWOO7 - you have proof that any are out? Or are you just going off the fact that you got your car this time last year?

Edit - not one dealer has a picture of their 2015. They are still held up at port.

^^Could be a damaged vehicle. The ports are very strict and your vehicle could have been damaged (damaged rim, panel, etc..) during transport which happens a lot and they could be replacing it which can also take some time.

hopefully not, haven't heard of anyone else getting their 2015 yet so that's reassuring

My 2015 GC was held for about a week on the East coast and was shipped Thursday and arrived at the dealer in Indiana Friday. I did see it yesterday and will pick up Monday. Trading the 2011 550xi, hope I am not disappointed!
