Just did BMW Performance Delivery for my new 2013 328i M-Sport Estoril Blue II/Black Leather today.....AWESOME experience. The whole thing was top-notch. Here's some teaser pics from today....more coming later. Last pic shows the tape-work for the drive back to Ohio!

Same drive my X5 was delivered. Congrats!!!
I ended up having my friend that does clear-bra do a temp. cut out of the clear bra for 20.00 , I know that tape took a while.

Thanks -- the tape is to avoid any road chips until I get back to Ohio and get my clear bra installed....

damn. EBII is my new front runner after months of thinking I didn't like it. Pics are awesome, got me thinking about a PCD for what will be a February delivery, little break from the NY winter (if we actually get one this year).

Does that extend the delivery timeline (or shorten?)?

My lease was signed May 20th and PCD pick up was June 3rd, so 2 weeks.

Lease signed may 20th or you ordered May 20th?

It's different for the cars actually built there though, I'm wondering if ordering an F30 will take longer with PCD than to the dealership, shorter, or the same (not counting time to drive or ship it home) since they're coming from Germany or South Africa..

That plant being right in SC is awesome though. My wife's X3 took like 4 weeks from order to delivery in NY and that's with a week or 2 (don't recall) just waiting for production to start from when we put the order in. Her parents then got one about 10 months later and the thing was at the dealership before they even logged in to check status (like 3 weeks from order to delivery in NY on a '13 x3 with the new engine..).

Signed May 20th via fax through Steve Thomas BMW in CA and Im in Fl

I think its 2 weeks once its built(if X3,X5, OR X6) or when the delivery center receives the car.

Gorgeous. Threads like these are making my wait increasingly difficult.

Seeing the tape job almost makes me wish they had offered Laguna Seca Blue on the F30!

I'm picking up my EB 335i Msprt in Nov down there in Spartanburg-looking forward to it!!

How long did it actually take you to tape the entire front?

I did the same thing w/ a MINI Cooper JCW GP I purchased a while back --trip from AL to VA--tape worked great!!

Hahah, EXACTLY! And got to do it twice since it poured between SC and OH, but well worth it. Back home and not a scratch or chip to be seen

It took about an hour and a half to tape up the entire front end the first time. The second time, about 30 mins....we were a lot less worried about form and more interested in function. Yeah, I'll definitely be using the tape on all future new cars...it worked great!
