DriveTrain error This morning

Started the 6 up and was quickly told of a drivetrain error... Seek help from service in an amber light. Spoke to bmw assist and they are taking the car away and giving me a loaner. Since speaking on the phone to them the error has gone from my dash & Idrive so im wondering if they can see any codes when it goes in

The car felt like normal but i did not give it any on the 10mile trip

yeah mate i will report back on monday luckily I'm still in warranty. i came out for my range rover for repair bills, fingers crossed I'm going to be okay.

my feeling is its a low battery, if not it could be a host of expensive items.

also make me think twice about remap until I'm out of warranty.

I'm sitting on the edge of my seat patiently waiting for the update mate. My 6 is my 3rd car so it can't be a money pit or the Mrs will look for a good solicitor lol. Fingers crossed its nothing ££££ for ya.

Nice to hear it wasn't anything major. Suspect that as you have warranty it's all covered, right mate. Been looking at warranty direct quotes today. May take it out for peace of mind

Yeah im covered but its got me thinking about warrenty too! Its a big grey area and i got a good deal on my warrenty on my range rover. The trick is to go with the same under-writter of bmw warrenty ( just branded different) my RR was 750 for the year cant see the bmw being near that
