What are you changing to? Best thing I did for my 640i was to change the 20s and runflats it came with for 18s with Conti Sport Contact 5 tyres. It transformed
the ride and vastly improved the steering.
I've never understood this low profile thing and even with inordinate care, it's difficult not to kerb them - my 18s are still unmarked after 10k miles.

Jon have you got a picture of your car on the 18's? Just wonder how it looks.

Probably not as 'cool' as some might think but, to me, the ride and steering are more important than how it looks.

I mean this in a most respectful way, but those 18" look terrible. :|

My car has 19", and every time I look at it I think how underwheeled it is. 20" is definitely the right size for this car.

I think changing to non RFT would have given you the same ride/steering improvements without making the car look like it's riding on 4 space savers.

As per my previous post, it's not how it looks but how it drives! Some have different priorities to others but the former matters more to me.

I don't want to belabour this, but seriously, you don't buy a 6m long car with no roof because of how it drives - pretty much anything with sporty pretensions and a roof will be miles ahead.

90% of the ride/handling improvement came from switching to non-RFT.

If it's ok with you, let's just learn to live with our different opinions and move on.

The internet is no place for that.

ETA: I am just salty cos I really want a set of 373M's but shipping them to me would kill it.
