Higher octane?

Any recommendations? I have a 2016 m6 and I've never tried race gas. Anything in Los Angeles ? Do I use 93 or 100? Unleaded? Is it worth the money once in a while for fun?

Without a tune whether its a piggyback or a flash you will not notice much of a difference but there will be some, and yes only unleaded fuel and you can go all the way up to VP109 and mix it with 91oct. Do the math to get your octane ratio. 10 gallons of 91 and 10 gallons of 109 would be about 99-100oct.

I was in Toronto over the weekend and filled up with 94 octane versus the 93 octane we have here in NYC.....

It could have been a mental thing but I could have sworn my car was popping and grunting much louder and more frequently with the 94. I usually have to put some effort in to getting a flame or two out... but i was able to get some fire every time between 2nd and 3rd!!

What about this E85 stuff? I see E85 pumps showing up at a lot of stations around town.
