I came up with a way to blow colder air thru the seats. Put the A/C to the floor (and dash). The seat fan will pick some up and blow it thru. Not as good as a system plumbed into the A/C, but beats blowing warm air.

I just drove a SL550 in warm weather and the same applied. Not really cooling at all. Maybe less sweating, sure.

The Infinity Q50 has the seats connected to the air conditioning. I think both heat and cold in the seats are fed from the general air circulation system, and it has one single knob to turn which does both heating and cooling. Too bad it had no trunk.

Porsche ventilated seats MUCH better at this. Don't know why, but they are for sure.

Yup, Porsche has figured out a much more effective way to make passengers perceive being cooled by air through the seats...
BMW 6 series seats seem to accelerate evaporation. Porsche's solution feels as if cooled air is coming through the seats themselves, exiting the perforated leather actively cooling one's behind. Better.

You are right! This makes the seats actually feel cold. I put the A/C to floor and dash, and it works much better! Love these forums!

It just keeps the fan in the seats running on high we determined. There is no AC in the seats, just fans. If you turn on the AC to floor or floor/dash you will feel the cold air circling around your anu$! Haha
