My 0 to 60mph times, how about yours?
Hi Guys i have an m6 coupe competition package 2014, i am using plx kiwi3 (with dash command app)to measure my 0-60mph times, a lot of guys says that without launch control the car moves faster from 0, modulate the pedal and do a little bit burnout to warm up tires before to avoid wheelspin, after 8 runs my times are between 4.8s to 5.2s i think something is wrong there, usually our m6 should be making 3.6s to 4.2s, my car has no fault codes after scanning, any idea of what it could be?
what are your times? my tires are stock mssp with 80% tires remaining using 32psi all around, mode: traction off, sport plus, S3. my stock x6m 2010 hits 4.5s and the specs says 4.3s which is acceptable, but 1.2s is way too much :/ Last edited by kennis827; 06-09-2017 at 01:21 PM.. |

I think you should factor in your tires, pavement type, launching or not launching and much more. I've lunched mine hitting 3s so I think you should probably factor all of the above in.

No launch control.
Using manual shift (S3) you should modulate the gas unto 4k and then floor it. Shift up when your rev shows 6.5k ... There are many videos and reported that M5 can hit 60 mph in 3.7 second so for sure your M6 can be faster...

hi thanks for your reply, pavement type i dont think so bcuz the x6m i ran in the same road and hits the proper time, also tried different highways and same results! im launching well without any wheelspining since i burnout the tires before runing.

With the M6 you need quite a bit of skill to launch it well. Also what have you done to your suspension? It seems very much lowered. This is also most likely not helping weight transfer to the rear axle when accelerating off the line which helps with grip from the driven wheels. Also make sure you dampers are in the softest setting to help with this weight transfer

You have too much nonaerodynamic mods! It's catching the wind like a sail and slowing you down! lol jk

Hi there!
My personal best was 3.7 seconds. As M6-Coupe stated above, modulating the throttle is key. Also I'm sure you are doing something wrong whilst launching - there is no way any normal F12 M6 coupe is doing over 4 seconds. My personal setup consists of: sportiest throttle response, sportiest gear change, comfort suspension, manual shifting mode, MDM mode I haven't ever intentionally done a burn out in my car (tires are expensive yo), but I'm sure that would only help my time. A lot of the magazines have got the M6 in the 3.7-3.9 range with ease, and the last comparison test on C&D got it at 3.5 (although I have my doubts about how they got that number). Keep trying, change your method of calculation, and worse comes to worse go to the dealer to make sure your car is in good condition. Cheers, Khan |

my best 0-60mph "american style" (1ft rollout) with stock M6 CP 2013 is 3.3 or 3.2s but i cannot find vbox graph for my best - so let's take "an average result"

your first major problem is timing something so precise with a cell phone, you need a vbox. the phone can "feel" the squat and start the clock before you even move.

Let's see how the new M5 or M6/M8 with AWD can change the game

It's the (1ft rollout) he decided to tick as an option whilst measuring his times.
