The M6 Gran Coupe opened the Nurburgring testing season in March and we've now caught it on video, giving you a good idea how just how well it tackles the track. That such a large car can perform like this on a challenging track is an impressive sight.

As the M6 Gran Coupe will utilize the same S63Tu engine as the F10 M5 (although the M6 Gran Coupe may be introduced with a slightly uprated power figure from the M5's 560hp), it's seen testing with and benchmarked against several M5s in the video, including the M5 Ring Taxis.

The M6 Gran Coupe will feature the same front and rear design as the M6 Coupe and Convertible and will have a similar carbon roof to the one on the M6 coupe. We've posted some of our recent renders and previous spy photos below as a preview of how the M6 Gran Coupe will look.

The M6 Gran Coupe's price will start well north of $100,000. BMW NA recently announced the pricing for the M6 coupe and convertible at $106,995 and $113,995. As the flagship M and M6 model, the Gran Coupe's price is certain to be priced higher than that.

We believe the M6 Gran Coupe should be revealed sometime in the second half of this year and possibly premiered at the 2012 Paris auto show in September or the 2013 Detroit NAIAS in January.

i think F10 looks "manlier".

Though M6GC is nice looking, M5 still looks better. I'd go with M6GC because it will be a rarely seen around, the M5 will quickly become very common.

I wonder, what is the point of having both the 5-series and 6-series Gran Coupe ? Seems such a waste of R&D money, I just don't get it. I would never get the 5-series if I were to choose, and opt instead for the 6-series Gran Coupe. Not sure why anyone would ?

That is one good looking 4-door coupe. I think it looks even better than the Aston Rapide.

Money?

The Panamera, FF, CLS clearly indicate that there is a market.

LOVE IT! It looks very fast too! I do have a question though.
Does M6 has that stupid active sound or whatever BMW called system?

The body roll looked good, especially considering how fast they were going.

Is it just me or does it sound a little different than the M5 ?

You can see that it has the same carbon fiber roof as the M6 coupe. Nice...

If only it weren't that long, I would replace my F10 M5 with it in a heart beat. It's touching 7 series length, pretty insane if u ask me...
