Wheel torque lug nuts 21s?

I just put on my summer wheels and I am getting a lot of vibration. What torque should I tighten to?

Could be out of balance too. Amazing how easily they can go out.

If I add a 5 inch extension do I need to compensate for this on torque settings? Neighbor told me an extension changes the lbs of torque. If it was horizontal I would agree but vertical I can't see how it would?

Wheels are fine now with 103 at the hub.

depends on how long the Torque Wrench is too. 12-16" wrench with 5" extension will be about 72-78lbs.

so 12 inch wrench w 5" extension dialed around 147 would be 103?

kinda getting to the nitty-gritty, not like NASA is gonna check. IVe been torqueing wheels for decades, never had a warp or one fall off

A "verticle" extension does not affect the torque rating (Does, but its negligable). This is the regular straight extension that does not change the legth og the wrench from handle to tip, but extends how far down the socket goes. Same as adding a deep socket.

A "horizontal" extension (one that extends the length of teh wrech) does affect the value

Only time you ever compensate is if you have a extension that changes the length from handle to tip.

A 90 degree extension has negligible effect on the torque since it does not affect the lever length from handle to tip.

A normal "vertical" extension has negligible effect on the torque

This is a "vertical" extension and needs no compensation

This is a "horizontal" extension and needs compensation on the 0' position, but not in the 90' position.
Needs compensation in 0' position because lever length changes by E. In 90' position lever length does not change
